In the beginning of this article Claims of orientalists about alteration of Quran has been dealt with, in two parts. The first part deals with orientalists accusations of Muslims in general which includes claims of omission, addition, changes and so on . Moreover, the second part deals with their accusations of some Islamic sects including shia, abusing few writings and sayings of some ignorant and fanatical Muslims and unauthentic sources. This article has also argued the correctness and inaccuracy of orientalists’ statements in a brief way. And has dealt with some of the sunni viewpoints regarding the purity of Quran from alteration according to shia perspectives.
