Tafsir in early Islam is one of the articles of “the Quran: an encyclopedia” that was published on 2006 with the head editor of Oliver Leman. The writers of the article are two professors in Turkish Harran University faculty of theology. The aforementioned professors while counting the definitions of Tafsir and allegorical interpretation (Ta’wil) and their difference in meanings deal with the historical course of Tafsir edition. They furthermore hint at various methods of exegesis. The writers highlighted that one of the reasons we need Tafsir is to expound and illustrate the Quranic stories for description of their all details. In this paper, the Jewish culture has been counted as one of the sources for exegesis of the Quran and Ibn Abbass as the most popular exegete of the Quran. They have also made this account that Khawarij were tremendously committed to the Quran. Afterward, the writers accuse the Shiite sect for not considering the occasions and context of the verses in exegesis of the Quran. For example they resort to the exegesis of an extinct Shiite sect called (Bayaniyeh). The following is the translation alongside its criticism, presented for the readers.
