“Quran and Tradition” is an article written by Juynboll in the Quran Encyclopedia of Leiden which has some points about reading and collection of Quran and its relevant traditions and also discusses the issue of Quran’s distortion and the mythof Qaraniq. After analyzing the views of the writer of the article, and besides mentioning some of its advantages, the critic points out its weaknesses. For example he mentions the necessity of having a comprehensive attention to the views about the collection of Quran’s readings and also the fact that the writer is not completely regarded with Shi’ite’s tradition sources and the new sources of Quran and exegesis sciences. He then criticized the writer’s views about Quran’s distortion and the myth of Qaraniq.
