One of the most important researches in the history of Qur'an on which different views are said is the collection of Qur'an are said that it occurred in the time of the prophet and under his instructions and some said it was at the time of Abubakr or Othman after the demise of the prophet. The orientalists also give their contribution in this part of the Qur'anic history, where they explained their own views out of which one of them, Theodor Noldeke has explained his view in abook on Qur'anic history which he has written as a ph. D thesis.
In this writing some of his ideas about colletion of the Qur'an not at the time of Othman, Imam Ali's collection of the Qur'an and the unification of manuscrift are discussed. At last, the definition of Qur'anic collection and different views about that and the stages of Qur'anic collection are pointed to.
