This article is a translation of some part of the second volume of the book "History of the Qur'an" (writen by thiodor noldekey and friedrich shovali) which is talks about the topic of the second collection of the Qur'an known as the unification of Qur'an in othmanic period. The writer who his evicallydid not accept the tradition about the first collection of the Qur'an during the time of Abubakr, as he mentioneding some part of his writings, here also studies, compares and asses the prevailing traditions and he points to the unknown traditions about the collection of the Qur'an by Othman. At the last part, the writer studies the arrangement of verses in othmanic manuscrift and campares the relationship of verses' length with the present features of the Qur'an.
The translater in the introduction studies the Noldeke's view and pointed to different views which are opposite to that.
