The issue of ascension is one of the miracles of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and one of the important facts of the age of descent, which has been analyzed from different aspects in the Holy Quran. Investigating and analyzing the scientific approach of the ascension of the Prophet from the point of view of Orientalists is a new issue that is the subject of this research. In this article, with the aim of defending the sacredness of the revelation of the Qur'an, and by using the analytical descriptive method and citing scientific sources, it has been tried to answer the basic question of what the orientalists' approaches to the ascension have been and what criticisms do they have? The results show that some orientalists, such as: John Dion Porth and Konstan Virgil Georgiou, accepted the ascension of the body and soul of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) according to a realistic approach based on the Qur'an, and another group, such as: Gustavo Bon and Cara de Vaux, They started denying and refuting and some others like Michael Sells raised doubts about the Quranic ascension and in contrast to these three groups, there were other people who accepted the principle of ascension and justified and interpreted it with different attitudes. Based on this recent approach, people such as Anne Marie Schimmel accepted the principle of ascension and interpreted it as spiritual ascension, and others like Karen Armstrong interpreted ascension as a religious experience. The verses are against it because the appearances of the verses and various other evidences testify to the issue of physicality of this course.
